Description:
An insertion type thermal mass flow sensor is an instrument used to measure the mass flow rate of gases. In an insertion type thermal mass flow sensor, a probe with a heated sensor is inserted into the gas flow stream. The sensor continuously measures the temperature of the gas as it flows over the heated element. By maintaining a constant temperature difference between the sensor and the gas, the amount of power required to sustain this temperature difference is directly proportional to the mass flow rate of the gas. This relationship allows the sensor to calculate the flow rate in real-time.
